During the period of the 11 th five-year plan,by seizing the opportunity of building the National Bio-lndustry Base tooptimize the development environment and enlarge the accomplishments of foreign investment,the regional output value of 6 billion yuan,an total industrial output value of 1.6billion yuan,foreign exchange earnings of USS150 millin and a financial revenue of 800 million yuan. TOP priority will be given to the development of the following industries in the 11th five-year plan period. 一、Biological industry In the scope of the planned 30-square kiloneter Bio-Industry Base,construction work will focus on two projects.One is North China pharmaceutical Industry park, which covers 300mu,with an investment of 3.5 billion yuan containing 35 subsidiaries; the other is Shijiazhuang pharmaceutical Industry Park,which covers and striving to forge a world first-class bio-industrial base our own. 二、Machinery making indusrty Priority should be given to the development of new high-tech enterptises.Based on the cooperation between large-sized manufacturers like Sifang Connunication, Taihang Machinery and Tiantong Group,and Tsinghua University,National Defense University and MII,some leading manufacturers with internationally-advanced technologies need to be born and fully fledgen ,in the hope of participating in the competition on the world market. 三、Energy industry Speed should ve accelerated in the construction of the technical expansion project launched by Liangcun Plant of the Orien tal Heat and Power Group,to insure the full operation during the 11th five-year plan period. The conpletde project will be equipped with running capacity of 1200MW,producing 1250 tons of steam per hour, which is able to meet the demand o fthe Zone along with its neighboring areas. 四、Modern logistics Work on building the inland port of Shijiazhuang should be sped up and supporting facilities should be perfected as soon as possible in order to form a inland logistica hub with an annual handling capaicy of 100,000 containers,radiating as nearby cities like Zhengzhou,Datong,Beijing and Tianjin. 五、Food stuff industry Acceleration should be given to the construction work on Yihai Food & Oil,a 450million-yuan investment project,and that on the USS10million peasi invesment project,both of which are expected to start operation in 2008. Many more more food processing featuring Yihai Food & Oil,Sanlu and Pepsi should be favored and strengthened to become a leading force in increasing agticultural productivity and farmers''income around the capotal.
